About Me

Hello everyone from Gavin Blunt here at Cabin FM.

Just a few lines about me and what I do:

I started on radio when I was at Portsmouth university – on their own station – PURE:FM in 2000.

I joined Cabin FM, in August 2003.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf.

I’m a Presenter on my own shows on Saturdays between 1 and 4 and Sundays between 2 and 4.

So, if you like great music and great features, check out my show profiles and make sure you tune in every week.

Afternoon Alternative

A weekly radio show presented by Gavin Blunt on Saturday afternoons between 1pm and 4pm on Cabin FM on 94.6 on FM in Herne Bay, Kent in the United Kingdom AND on the Internet on www.cabin.fm

Every week on the show, you’ll hear the best music from the sixties through to today.

There’ll also be some great features to keep you entertained, including the Ticket, the Papers, the Listings.

Want to hear how different one song can sound - but by two different artists? Well, every Saturday, we do just that - in the Rewind!

You’ll also be able to get quizzical every week, with the Back Track. You'll hear a snippet of a Track - but played Backwards! If you need some help though, don't worry, as you'll also be given some lyrics too. All you have to do, is guess the identity of the well-known artist and song title!

Sunday Sanctuary

A weekly radio show presented by Gavin Blunt on Sunday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm on Cabin FM on 94.6 on FM in Herne Bay, Kent in the United Kingdom AND on the Internet on www.cabin.fm

Every week on the show, you’ll hear great music from one of four different decades  - from the sixties through to the nineties - and sometimes even the noughties!

There’ll also be a look back at some great memories of the events that happened on this day in history, in our weekly visit to the Memory Machine.

Plus, every week at 3pm, we'll be paying our weekly visit to one of our local Churches, for our weekly 'Radio Act of Worship.'
