It is believed that the bomb disposal team attended the area to investigate.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision which occurred in Fleetwood Avenue, Herne Bay on Saturday (21st October 2017).
The incident happened shortly before 6.40pm when a grey Volkswagen Passat collided with a girl who was on foot.

A woman in her 70’s has been treated for breathing in smoke after a fire at a property in Beacon Hill, Herne Bay.
Two Kent Fire & Rescue appliances attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire in the ground floor kitchen. The woman was given oxygen by the crews on arrival before being handed over to the ambulance for further treatment.
